EL SEGUNDO, Calif. — December 2005 -- International Rectifier, IR® (NYSE: IRF), a world leader in power management technology, announced today that it has won a 2005 Flex Your Power Award from California’s Efficiency Partnership.

From hundreds of candidates, International Rectifier was among 35 organizations recognized for outstanding achievements in energy efficiency. IR won in the Innovative Products and Services category for its development of advanced power management technologies driving energy efficiency in a host of everyday products from appliances to automobiles. The company’s variable speed Motor Control platform for appliances and its control ICs for energy-efficient lighting are but a few examples.
