International Rectifier Ranked Among Forbes' Best Managed Companies
EL SEGUNDO, Calif. - January 12, 2005 - International RectifierŽ Corporation (NYSE:IRF), a world leader in power management technology, has been named to the Platinum 400, Forbes' listing of America's best-managed companies.
International Rectifier's five-year total return of 15.5 percent earned the company a top ranking within Semiconductors, one of 26 industries analyzed by Forbes. In addition to financial metrics such as sales, earnings, stock market returns and earnings forecasts, the editors assessed each company's accounting and governance practices as well as marketing strategies in making their final determinations.
Forbes' editors also singled out International Rectifier as the only semiconductor company for their list of 12 Turbocharged Companies. This short list, based on a number of criteria selected by Forbes, are those companies Forbes expects to exceed their five-year historical average sales and earnings growth rates over the next 12 months. Turbocharged Companies showed at least 10 percent annual growth over the past five years.
