June 2004 - International Rectifier, IR® (NYSE: IRF), a world leader in power management technology, has won a "Best Design Award" from a leading electronics industry publication in China for IR’s innovative integrated Motor Control power module. Electronics Design and Application World magazine bestowed the award to IR’s IRAMS10UP60A module, a part of the company’s iMOTION™ integrated design platform. The winners were selected by online votes from engineers in China.

The iMOTION design platform integrates digital, analog and power technologies together in a flexible, mixed signal chip set to simplify Motor Control designs and bring energy-efficient, cost-effective solutions to market faster. The award-winning IRAM module works with IR’s digital Motor Control ICs to form a simplified, high performance variable speed drive solution. Unlike traditional motor drive controls that rely on complex digital signal processors or microprocessor control units, the iMOTION platform eliminates complex software programming.
