International Rectifier To Ring Closing Bell at NYSE
Marking 43rd Anniversary of Listing
EL SEGUNDO, Calif. November 2003 - Dr. Alex Lidow, CEO of International Rectifier Corporation (NYSE:IRF), will ring The Closing Bell™ at the New York Stock Exchange Thursday, November 6 in celebration of the company's upcoming 43rd anniversary on the Big Board.

Last week the company posted its first quarter earnings for fiscal year 2004 with net income up 53 percent over the same period last year and strong order growth, particularly in information technology which grew 122 percent over the prior-year quarter. In that time, IR's proprietary product revenues have grown 22 percent accounting for 59 percent of customer sales in the September quarter. The company's stock (IRF) is up more than 150 percent year to date.
