Power Management Leader Briefs Appliance Makers On Energy-Saving Technology
EL SEGUNDO, Calif. August 2003 - International Rectifier, IRŪ (NYSE: IRF), the world's leading provider of power management electronics, will begin a 30-day tour September 1, 2003, to customer sites throughout Europe briefing leading appliance makers on advancements in energy-saving power management electronics.
International Rectifier will advise these manufacturers on ways to quickly apply IR's recently-introduced iMOTION(tm) integrated design platform and related family of products that simplify the move to variable speed Motor Control technology. This advanced technology has been cited as a crucial mechanism in reducing the electricity needs of motors, the world's single largest consumer of electricity, by as much as 50%.
