EL SEGUNDO, Calif. June 2003 - International Rectifier, IR® (NYSE: IRF), today introduces a new series of 25A, 600V single phase bridge rectifiers for industrial and domestic power supplies used in induction cookers, air conditioners, washing machines and microwave ovens. The new bridge rectifiers are also suitable for computer monitors and television sets.

The IR25XBxxH Series devices expand the IR offering of 25A bridge rectifiers to include 200V, 400V, 600V and 800V devices. The new bridge rectifiers are made with glass passivated standard-recovery diode chips designed for high surge current capability. Glass passivated chips have better high temperature, reverse bias (HTRB) characteristics than conventional die-attach type devices, and can withstand harsh environmental conditions such as temperature cycling from - 55°C to +150°C and moisture resistance at 85°C with 85% relative humidity.

Dr. Francesco Vallone, International Rectifier Product Marketing Manager said, "Since the bridge rectifiers are isolated from the case, heat sink mounting is simplified. In addition, the package and lead configuration matches the standard used in Japan and other regions."

The plastic case material is under UL approval (E160378), and the lead (Pb) free terminals are guaranteed for high temperature soldering. Polarity symbols are molded on the case for easy identification.
