EL SEGUNDO, CA. February 1999 - International Rectifier's (IR^®) new D-Pak Schottky diodes are designed to offer the highest current density available in the world in the D-Pak form factor. Targeted at power supplies in the 25W to 50W arena, these devices will be of particular interest to designers wanting to upgrade current capabilities of their designs, offering a cost effective, space saving upgrade for 10A and 12A D2Pak devices.

For maximum versatility, the new Schottkys are configured as dual 6A common cathode devices offering a 12A rated current (the lowest forward voltage drop), a small form factor (D-Pak) and a high maximum junction temperature (150°C). These D-Pak devices are targeted for rectification in isolated DC-DC converter modules, power supplies in portable systems, and for reverse polarity protection in battery powered systems.
