EL SEGUNDO, CA. February 1999 - International Rectifier's (IRâ) new D-Pak Schottky diodes for low-power systems now offer a lower forward-voltage drop for improved power handling capabilities and greater efficiency than competing devices, while still maintaining price parity with equivalents.

These new devices feature a small form-factor (D-Pak) and a high maximum junction temperature (150°C). The D-Pak is ideal for rectification in isolated DC-DC converter modules, power supplies in portable systems, for use as a freewheeling diode for low power synchronous rectification in portable systems and for reverse polarity protection in battery powered systems.
