International Rectifier's New Surface Mount Schottky Diodes are Optimized for Low-Voltage, High-Efficiency Power Conversion Applications
EL SEGUNDO, CA. July 1998 - International Rectifier (IR) now offers its second generation of Schottky diodes packaged in the industry standard
SMA outline. Devices in this family feature forward current ratings of up to 3 ADC, with forward voltage drops as low as 300 mV. While
designed for a wide variety of applications where space utilization is critical, these lower voltage devices (15, 30 and 45 V) have been
optimized for use in low-voltage, high-efficiency power conversion applications such as those found in portable systems.
The full product range consists of the
10MQ015N,
10MQ040N,
10MQ060N and
10MQ100N. All are rated at 1.5 A with reverse
voltages of 15, 40, 60 and 100 V. In addition, the
15MQ040N is rated at 2 A with a reverse voltage of 40 V. These
devices are rated for operation with a junction temperature of up to 150(C. Available in bulk and tape on reel, pricing on this
product family begins at $0.13 for the 10MQ040N in volumes of 10,000 and above.
Data sheets for these new Schottky diodes are available on International Rectifier's website (hyperlinked above)
and through the company's Fax-On-Demand system (++ 1-310-252-7100 USA and ++44 1883 783420 Europe).
