IR's Control IC products are optimized for use in power conversion applications for power supplies, electronic ballast and motor drives. Both the MOS Gate Drivers and the Application Specific Control Drivers are particularly suited for high-side and bridge topologies due to their patented high voltage integrated circuit (HVIC) technology.

Applications for power supplies where Control Integrated Circuits are currently used include AC/DC converters, DC/DC converters, battery chargers, uninterruptible power supplies, switch mode power supplies and resonant switching supplies.
