International Rectifier Expands Schottky Rectifier Portfolio for Portable Electronics
EL SEGUNDO, Calif. - International Rectifier, IR® (NYSE: IRF) today announced the addition of economical 20V, 30V and 40V Schottky rectifiers in industry-standard surface-mount (SOD-123 and SOD-323) and axial-lead (C-16 and DO-41/DO-204AL) packages to its extensive line of power management devices.
IR's new Schottky rectifiers match industry-standard specifications and performance for drop-in replacement in existing designs. The industry-compliant part numbering simplifies component selection for existing as well as new designs. The new devices are suitable for space-constrained applications such as cell phones, PDAs, MP3-players, digital cameras and laptop computers. In these applications, they are used as output rectifiers, current steering diodes, reverse battery protection, freewheeling and in snubbing circuits.
