EL SEGUNDO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 19, 2002--International Rectifier, IR® (NYSE:IRF - news) today announced that the Defense Supply Center Columbus (DSCC) has granted JANS certification for IR's high reliability (hi-rel) facility located in Leominster, Massachusetts.

The facility is certified for compliance with MIL-PRF-19500. Compliance means that the facility is certified to produce JANS N- and P-channel power MOSFETs for use in high-reliability applications, such as undersea telecommunication, military aerospace, commercial aircraft, space launch vehicles, satellite systems and strategic weapon systems.

JANS is the highest quality level assigned by MIL-PRF-19500, and MIL-PRF-19500 is the performance specification currently used by nearly every space-level customer. Earning JANS certification reinforces IR's position as a premiere supplier of hi-rel products.
