International Rectifier Wins
Investment and Commerce Development Award in Italy
EL SEGUNDO, Calif. - International Rectifier, IR® (NYSE: IRF) today announced their acceptance of the Greenfield Prize 2001 from the Agency for Investments in Turin and Piedmont, Italy.
The award recognizes International Rectifier for being the most innovative manufacturing facility established by an international company in 2001.
Upon accepting the award, Michele Giammarino, International Rectifier Vice President, High Power Products and Systems, said, "IR research, development and production facilities in Italy, and other locations worldwide, are increasing power management efficiency in products ranging from home appliances and automobiles to portable electronics and satellites in space. We appreciate the recognition of our efforts by the representatives of Piedmont and Turin."
