EL SEGUNDO, CA. September 2001 - International Rectifier, IR® (NYSE:IRF - news), today announced the addition of Richardson Electronics Ltd. (Nasdaq:RELL - news) of LaFox, Ill., as a distributor for the International Rectifier line of power management products, including HEXFET® power MOSFETs and discrete components, proprietary analog ICs, advanced circuit devices and power systems.

Richardson Electronics services markets and applications that include industrial heating, welding, laser, power supply, motor drive and alternative energy. The firm's capabilities include: engineering solutions, systems integration, prototype design and manufacturing, testing, e-commerce and logistics. More than 50 percent of Richardson's products are modified or assembled to customer-specific requirements.
