International Rectifier Launches Chinese-Language Web Site for Enhanced Technical Assistance, Customer Service and Access for New Markets

EL SEGUNDO, CA. August 2001 - International Rectifier, IRŪ (NYSE:IRF) has launched a new Web site for China.

The new site, www.irf.com.cn, will increase communication channels for IR customers in China using local Chinese language.

The IR China Web site includes the latest press releases in the Chinese language, a technical information center, listings of recent events such as local seminars and exhibitions, sales and distribution contacts and company background information.

K.B. Lim, Vice President of Sales, Asia Pacific, said, ``Twenty-nine percent of International Rectifier revenues came from the Asia Pacific area during the last twelve months. China is one of the key contributing countries. This new Web site enhances direct communication for technical assistance and customer service in the China region. Equally important is the increased information access for new customers and new markets.''
