International Rectifier Announces Community Scholarship Recipients
EL SEGUNDO, CA. July 2001 - International Rectifier, IR(®) (NYSE: IRF) announced today the recipients of the 2001 International Rectifier Community Scholarship Program and the 2001 HEXFET(®) America (HEXAM) Community Scholarship Program.
International Rectifier presents scholarships to students from neighboring and inner city schools to encourage their college studies in science, engineering and other technical disciplines.
The community scholarship program requires students to have a minimum 3.5 grade point average and to complete an essay detailing their scholastic goals. Selected students receive a scholarship to support their tuition and are offered a summer internship as a part of this program. International Rectifier's community scholarship program is renewable each year, for up to five years.
