Registration Statement for International Rectifier July 2000 4 1/4 Percent Convertible
Subordinated Notes Declared Effective
EL SEGUNDO, CA. November 2000 - In connection with International Rectifier Corporation's (NYSE:IRF) issuance and sale in July 2000 of an aggregate of $550,000,000 in principal amount of the Company's 4¼% Convertible Subordinated Notes Due 2007, the Company today reported that on November 24, 2000, the Securities and Exchange Commission declared effective the Company's Registration Statement on Form S-3 (Registration No. 333-48030), relating to the registration of the notes and the 7,438,967 shares of the Company's common stock issuable upon conversion of the notes.
The securities covered by the registration statement are to be offered and sold from time to time by the holders of these securities. The Company will not receive any proceeds from the sale by the selling holders of the notes or the shares of common stock issuable upon conversion of the notes.
