SB Series
Another key element of the DPA system is the SB series, point of load (POL) class K hybrid voltage regulators. This design platform is a non-isolated buck regulator. It is available in two output power/current levels, 15W/7A (SBA) and 30W/14A (SBB). The output voltages range from 1V to 3.3V for most digital loads and design applications using FPGAs. The modules operate off a 5V DC power source. The efficiencies are in the range of 70% to 90% depending on the output voltage. The SB series also includes many of the functional features required by today’s space applications.

Applications: Digital payloads in geostationary or low earth orbit satellite, launch vehicles, and communication systems, 18 years life in orbit
