The second generation of SupIRBuck™ family of integrated point-of-load (POL) voltage regulators features IR’s latest advantages in control IC, MOSFETs and package integration technologies to deliver up to 12A output current in a low-profile, thermally enhanced 5x6 mm Power-QFN package. The 4 Gen2 devices, IR3831MTRPBF, IR3840MTRPBF, IR3841MTRPBF and IR3842MTRPBF are fully featured for server, storage, netcom and telecom applications and are designed to offer benchmark efficiency over the entire load range and a very high switching frequency for significant overall system size reduction. While optimized for 12V input voltage, superior efficiencies are also achieved in applications with 9.6V, 5V or 3.3V input voltages.
