Moisture Sensitivity
Moisture Sensitive: Defined as non-hermetic solid state Surface Mount Devices (SMDs)
that are sensitive to moisture induced stress.
Moisture Sensitivity Level: Defined as classification for proper packaging, storage, and handling
to avoid damage during assembly solder reflow.
Moisture Sensitivity Classification:
- Level 1: Classified as not sensitive & does not require dry pack. Unlimited Floor Life Time
- Level 2: Classified as moisture sensitive and requires dry pack. One-year Floor Life Time
- Level 2a: Classified as moisture sensitive and requires dry pack. Four-week Floor Life Time
- Level 3: Classified as moisture sensitive and requires dry pack. 168-hour Floor Life Time
