Test Engineer

Test Engineer

Location: Pavia, Italy

Job description:

  • Reporting to the IC test Manager, you will be responsible for the test development of High Voltage/High Current IC and power conversion devices. Your role will involve the development of Automatic Test Equipment software and the design of the test hardware.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop Automatic Test Equipment programs for Wafer Probe and Final Test and design of the test hardware for new Automotive HVIC/ High current IC products using Credence ASL1000 and Eagle ETS364.
  • Perform statistical analysis (understanding of normal distribution, sigma, CPK) of test data to characterize the performance of new products across temperature, review various correlation (including ATE-bench, Board-board and ATE to ATE) and repeatability data.
  • Work closely with Design, Product Development Engineers and Reliability Engineers, to understand the ATE development support required for the development of the product in a timely & expeditious manner.
  • Transfer of ATE SW and HW to off-shore production wafer probe and final test locations with a focus on being predictable to a committed project timeline.
  • Discussion of respective project schematics and PCB layout reviews and statistical data review (including repeatability, correlation, tri temp data etc) prior to release of the test solution to manufacturing. Must generate and provide all required documentation prior to transfer.

Essential Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor/Master Degree in Electronics with a strong electronic background.
  • Experience in IC test development using Credence ASL1000 Automatic Test Equipment.
  • Experience in electronic hardware development with good knowledge of lab equipment, e.g. oscilloscopes, meter and other.
  • Good spoken and written English.
  • Good communication, organisational and time management skills.

Desirable Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Experience with PCB layout CAD, familiarity with Cadence Allegro.
  • Knowledge of all electrical characteristics of power management IC's and IGBT/MOSFET's.
  • C and C++ programming background.
  • experience with Eagle ETS364
