United Way

Since 1924, United Way's mission is to bring hope to everyone in local communities. For more than ten years, IR has partnered with the United Way to help families and individuals who are enduring adversity. By having an annual enrollment campaign for new and continuing participants we ensure our continuous support and care to the communities of Los Angeles County.

Community
IR identified Lawndale High School in Lawndale, California) as the school with which to establish a partnership. We are working with the school counselors to set up activities, matching our employees with their students. (i.e. job shadowing, on-site tours, experiments, tutoring, and mentoring etc.)

Scholarships
IR has established two scholarship funds: One to assist in the continuing education of our employee's children, and the second for those children within our community. The purpose of the scholarship programs is to encourage top students with 3.5 GPA or better to pursue science, math or engineering disciplines while in college.

Rotary Membership
The Rotary Club of El Segundo was founded in 1952. Rotary is an organization of business and professional leaders worldwide, who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace around the world. The Rotary Club of El Segundo proudly supports the community through the El Segundo Education Foundation, El Segundo High School Scholarships, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, Park Vista (Retirement Housing), YMCA, Little League Baseball, Public Service Awards and many others.

Blood Donations
Each year IR hosts an onsite blood drive for the American Red Cross. The Red Cross brings a fully equipped bloodmobile with trained nurses to take the badly needed blood donations.
