For many years, prior to joining the Electronic Industry Citizenship Coalition (EICC), International Rectifier had a practice of communicating its Code of Ethics to its tier one suppliers and advising the suppliers of International Rectifier’s commitment to the principles in its Code.

Now as a member of the EICC, International Rectifier advises its tier-one suppliers that it has joined the EICC and that, as part of its membership, International Rectifier brings the same level of commitment to the EICC Code of Conduct areas of ethics, labor, environment, health and safety standards.

International Rectifier’s Code of Ethics outlines policies on specific issues related to business conduct and reaffirms our commitment to integrity. Suppliers are encouraged to contact us if there are questions regarding the application of the Code of Ethics and to contact us immediately if they learn of (or even suspect) any illegal or unethical conduct in violation of the Code of Ethics.

It is International Rectifier’s expectation that its tier one suppliers will comply with the tenets of the EICC Code of Conduct to the same extent as the International Rectifier Code of Ethics, and we advise suppliers that review of supplier progress on implementation of the EICC Code of Conduct is expected.

The EICC Code of Conduct provides a common framework to ensure a safe and healthy workplace, environmental responsibility for our products and processes, work with dignity for our employees, and business ethics and integrity. We at International Rectifier feel that these basic building blocks of responsible manufacturing should be the standard for all companies’ operations.
